u're welcome, Astrid. Black Mirror really gets any thinking brain prepared.

Even in the episode "Joan Is Awful," the issue isn't just the technology or the company’s mischief...it's also Joan's lack of preparedness for such events.

She was caught off guard. It took her a while to pull herself together n confront the situation as best as she cud.

My next blog is going to explore this theme further...looking at different types of technology users n how their attitudes can impact them.

I'll also back it up with some real-life case studies.

Not only that we’re not in control, we’ve started either not to care or even enjoy letting the “remote” take over, so we don’t have to make the effort ourselves. We’re lazy creatures, always chasing comfort. Really interesting piece, great food for thought!

The problem isn’t just complexity—it’s intent. Important details are buried because the system expects you not to read them. When terms are unreadable by design, consent becomes meaningless.

So very true

And we are all living in a world which is shaped for us , not shaped by us. OMG this is true to the core.

In a way we can say we are all kinda hostages taken silently by the remote .
